Born in Montana. Built for community. Powered by a whole lot of passion for live music and the people who love it.
Founder · Outlaw Marketing · Music in the ‘Burg
Montana raised and community driven, Char Snyder has spent years doing one thing exceptionally well: making people show up. As the founder of Outlaw Marketing and the force behind Music in the ‘Burg, she brings small-town heart and big-event energy to everything she touches.
Her background spans military service, law enforcement administration, real estate, and more than two decades of hands-on promotion — but it’s live music and community events where she found her true calling. When the crowd comes alive, when strangers become neighbors, when a small Montana town becomes the place everyone is talking about — that’s what she’s here for.

From the Founder
Philipsburg is About to Hit Different.
Let’s be real — our little mountain town already has something most places spend millions trying to manufacture: soul. Great food. Cold beer. Real people. A vibe you can’t fake. Now imagine adding live, headlining concert experiences to that mix.
That’s exactly what Music in the ‘Burg is doing — and I am going all in.
Last year was my first season producing concerts independently — and it worked. It actually worked. So naturally, I did what any slightly crazy, deeply passionate promoter would do. I doubled down.
This is only my second season flying solo — and I’m already scheduling two full-scale concerts in one summer.
Is it a giant leap? Yes. Is it the smartest business move on paper? Debatable. Do I believe in this community enough to do it anyway? Absolutely. Without hesitation.
Is it scary? Sure. Do I lose sleep over the logistics, the budgets, the moving pieces? You have no idea. But do I believe with everything I have that Philipsburg deserves this? Without question. So here I am. Doing the thing. Because the best things rarely come without risk — and this town is worth every bit of it.
And here’s the thing — the momentum is already building. Talented artists are already finding their way to Philipsburg, playing our bars and restaurants, and this town is clearly resonating with them. I want to build on that energy. More stages. More music. More reasons for people to discover what we already know: this place is something special.
Philipsburg already has the magic. I’m just giving the world more reasons to come find it.
— Char Snyder, Founder
Concerts like these cost tens of thousands of dollars to produce. But every dollar invested comes back to this community — in tourism, in exposure, in the kind of buzz that makes people move here, visit again, and tell their friends.
These aren’t bar nights. These are destination events — the kind that fill hotel rooms, pack restaurants, and have people driving hours just to say “I was there.” The more we support these events, the more we can make that happen. And Char intends to keep making it happen.
